Hello, we’re Lori and Katie and we’re the owners of The Repurposed Home.

The story of our company is the story of things – too many of them!

It all began with a circa 1900 china cabinet that we repurposed in 1984 and still proudly use today. This early success, combined with a passion for collecting interesting items and a strong determination to ease the burden on our local landfill (and by extension the environment we all share) was the inspiration for the Repurposed Home.

Once our basement, attic and every closet in between became full, the dream of our own company that put all this stuff to use HAD to become a reality. So ties and sweaters became pillows, album covers became art and old furniture received a fresh, low-to-zero VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) finish.
